Jasmine Renée Thomas (Dakota), is a Houston- native and received her B.A. in Theatre from the Sarofim School of Fine Arts at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Upon graduation, Jasmine was brought back to Houston after joining Teach for America and being placed to co-lead a newcomer academy for refugee students. There she began her professional career with Houston’s Ensemble Theatre under the direction of Patdro Harris and Carlton Leake before moving to New York City to take on acting full-time. Previous NYC credits include: 702 Punchlines & Pregnant: The Jackie Mason Musical (St. Luke's Theatre, OffBroadway), The Field: Musical Myth (NYC Frigid Fest), Sister’s Keeper (NYC Dream Up Fest), and Opening Night/ Long Journey to Nowhere (Afrikan Women's Repertory Theatre). Jasmine is also a SAG eligible performer and has been featured in TV & Film projects such as Monsters Inside Me (Animal Planet) and Show Me A Hero (HBO) as well as the fresh faced gospel singer in a Conair Internet campaign!
